| Bronze is an alloy that combines copper and zinc. Brass is a mixture of copper and tin. Since the bronze that the Byrds use contains some tin, it is "brassier" than some bronzes. The difference lies mostly in how it reacts to the torch when heated. While bronze does not require as much attention as silver, it does require some. Hilton Byrd has made this extremely easy for you, the owner, to do. He supplies each customer with two cloths. Red polishes and yellow buffs. Even the most tarnished piece will come clean in just a few minutes with a gentle, loving touch of each cloth. However, should you ever run out of cloths for your work, or (worse yet!) run out of artwork for your cloths, just call the emergency hotline- artists are standing by: 570/646-6940 |
